Invest in Your Dancer's Growth
At Richmond Dance Collective, we believe dance is more than learning steps—it's building confidence, discipline, friendships, and a lifelong love of movement.
Our tuition is based on the level and length of instruction to provide exceptional instruction while remaining affordable for families. We also offer automatic discounts for dancers who enroll in multiple classes.
Tuition is billed monthly throughout the dance season and reserves your dancer's place in class.

We encourage dancers to explore multiple styles as they grow. Training in a variety of dance disciplines builds stronger technique, confidence, versatility, and artistry—and we reward that commitment with discounted tuition.
How It Works
Your tuition discount is automatically applied based on the total number of classes each individual dancer is enrolled in.
For example:
2 classes → Receive 5% off both classes
3 classes → Receive 10% off all three classes
4 or more classes → Receive 15% off all enrolled classes
Please note: Multi-class discounts are calculated per student and cannot be combined across multiple dancers within the same family.
2026–2027 Dance Season & Tuition Schedule
Richmond Dance Collective follows a traditional school-year dance season, allowing dancers to build their skills progressively while participating in our annual performances and studio events.
Season Dates: September 8, 2026 – June 14, 2027
Classes meet weekly throughout the dance season, with scheduled breaks that align closely with the local school district calendar.
Richmond Dance Collective will be closed to regular classes on the following dates during the 2026–2027 season:
Thanksgiving Break November 23 – November 27, 2026
Holiday Break December 22, 2026 – January 1, 2027
February Break February 22 – February 26, 2027
April Break April 19 – April 23, 2027
These scheduled breaks generally align with the MMUUSD School District calendar, allowing families to enjoy school vacations without missing dance instruction.
Tuition Schedule:
To provide consistent, high-quality instruction throughout the season, tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly payments
Tuition is billed on the 1st of each month, beginning September 1, 2026.
The final tuition payment will be billed on June 1, 2027.
Tuition is based on season enrollment, not the number of classes held in a particular month.
Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of holidays, scheduled studio closures, or the number of class meetings during a given month.
Tuition reserves your dancer's place in class for the entire dance season.

Cash and check payments must be received at the studio by the 5th of each month.
AutoPay Discount
Families who enroll in Automatic Payments (AutoPay) will receive a 3% discount on monthly tuition.
AutoPay offers the easiest and most convenient way to manage your tuition while helping offset payment processing costs.
AutoPay payments will be processed automatically on the 5th of each month.
Monthly invoices will be available before payments are processed.
If you notice a billing discrepancy, please contact us before the 5th of the month so we can resolve the issue prior to processing your payment.
Late Payments
Tuition not received by the 5th of each month will be considered late.
A $15 late fee will be applied to overdue accounts.
Accounts that remain past due may result in a dancer's participation being suspended until the account is brought current.
Registration Fee
A yearly registration fee helps cover administrative costs associated with enrollment, software, insurance, and preparing for the upcoming dance season.
Annual Registration Fee
$25 per dancer
Maximum of $40 per family
This will be billed August 1, 2026, and payment due August 5, 2026 OR upon registration after August 1, 2026

Costume Fees
Performance opportunities are one of the highlights of the Richmond Dance Collective experience. Throughout the season, dancers have the opportunity to perform in our beloved Nutcracker production in December and our exciting Spring Show in June.
To help families plan ahead, costume fees are outlined below -
Nutcracker Costume Rental Fee
Dancers participating in the Annual Nutcracker performance will be assessed $25 Costume Rental Fee (per dance performed)
Billed October 1, 2026
This fee covers the use of a professionally selected performance costume for the Nutcracker production.
Because costumes are rented by the studio, all Nutcracker costumes must be returned following the performance.
Using a costume rental program allows us to keep costs low while providing beautiful costumes for every dancer.
Spring Show Costume Fee
Dancers participating in our Annual Spring Show will purchase a performance costume for each class in which they perform.
Expected Billing Date: February 1, 2027
Spring costume fees are based on the final costume selections for each class (our best estimate is $50-75 per costume)
Families will receive detailed costume information, including exact pricing, before fees are billed.
Unlike Nutcracker costumes, Spring Show costumes become the property of the dancer and do not need to be returned.
Enrollment Changes
Finding the Right Fit
We encourage every dancer to register for the classes they believe are the best fit. During the first two weeks of the season, registered dancers have the opportunity to experience those classes and, if needed, work with our instructors to make adjustments to their schedule or class placement.
Beginning-of-Season Enrollment Period
Families may add, drop, or change classes through:

During this time, dancers are encouraged to explore their classes and ensure they are enrolled in the styles and levels that best match their interests, goals, and instructor recommendations.

Our goal is to ensure every dancer is placed in the classes where they will be the most successful and enjoy the best possible experience.
Tuition Adjustments
Your September tuition will be based on your original registration.
Any enrollment changes made on or before September 21, 2026 will automatically be reflected beginning with your October 1, 2026 tuition payment
This allows families to make schedule adjustments without the need for mid-month billing changes or refunds.
Mid-Season Enrollment Changes
Following our annual Nutcracker performance, families will have one final opportunity to adjust their dancer's schedule for the remainder of the season.
Enrollment Change Window: December 14 – December 31, 2026
During this period, families may:
Add classes
Drop classes
Adjust class levels
Explore new dance styles
Any approved enrollment changes will be reflected beginning with the January 1, 2027 tuition payment.
After January 1, class enrollment will be considered final for the remainder of the dance season as classes begin preparing choreography for the Spring Show.

Injury, Health & Liability
At Richmond Dance Collective, the safety and well-being of our dancers is always our highest priority. While we strive to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, dance is a physical activity and participation carries an inherent risk of injury.
Parents/guardians are asked to inform instructors of any pre-existing injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations that may affect their dancer's participation. Dancers should always listen to their bodies and communicate any pain or discomfort to their instructor immediately.
If a dancer is injured during class or while participating in a Richmond Dance Collective program or event, a parent or guardian will be notified as soon as possible. If the injury appears to require immediate medical attention and a parent or emergency contact cannot be reached promptly, Richmond Dance Collective reserves the right to seek emergency medical care on the dancer's behalf.
If medical treatment is sought following an injury that occurs at the studio or during a studio activity, parents/guardians are asked to notify the studio of the diagnosis and any activity restrictions before the dancer returns to class.
Participation in all classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio activities is at the dancer's and parent/guardian's own risk. Richmond Dance Collective, its owners, instructors, staff, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible or liable for any personal injury, accident, illness, or loss of or damage to personal property that may occur while participating in studio activities or while on studio premises, except where required by applicable law.
Personal Property
Richmond Dance Collective is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Dancers are encouraged to label all shoes, clothing, water bottles, dance bags, and other personal belongings with their name and to keep valuables at home whenever possible.
While we make every effort to return items left behind, Richmond Dance Collective, its owners, instructors, staff, and volunteers assume no responsibility or liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property while on studio premises or while participating in studio classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, or other studio-sponsored events.
Volunteer Rewards Program
At Richmond Dance Collective, we believe our strongest community is built through families who choose to get involved—not because they have to, but because they want to.
Unlike previous seasons, families will NOT be required to complete mandatory volunteer hours as a condition of enrollment.
Instead, we're excited to introduce a new Family Volunteer Rewards Program that will recognize and celebrate the incredible support of our dance families.
Throughout the season, families will have opportunities to volunteer at performances, special events, and studio activities while earning fun rewards and recognition along the way.
